Hi there, I’m John Collett, Cowboy John of “Cowboy John Tours”.
It’s great out here.
We’d be delighted if you would
come and join us!
I was a life insurance agent for the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company for 30+ years, in the industry for over 35 years. I went into the business originally because I love getting to know people and helping people solve problems. I’ve lived in a town small enough to know a good majority of the people on a first-name basis. That’s what I love — working one-on-one with individual people, stopping people on the sidewalk to talk, listening to their dreams for their families. I love that!
But, my life changed. Many businesses have drastically changed, and the insurance industry is no different. I found myself spending more and more time buried in paperwork, keeping records current, fighting traffic on appointments, taking insurance exams, completing continuing education classes, and staying late in the office. I was working longer hours, doing things I didn’t enjoy, filling my life with details with no time for friends or family.
I’m not the only one overwhelmed with change. I bump into people every day, frustrated with life, with no time to enjoy LIVING.
When I look at our busy calendars I wonder what happened. Why are many of us slaves to the clock? What’s gone wrong? What can return balance, relief, and a sense of fun and adventure?
What about the disconnection in my own life? What can I do to bring FUN back?
A few years ago I reconnected with my time as a young boy on the ranch and stumbled on something that brought back that joy.
I’m committed to sharing that joy with others, with freeing people and helping them TAKE BACK THEIR TIME!
Let me take you along on one of Cowboy John’s Tours when a Danish film crew went with me to the Spanish Ranch. We were in the barn watching cowboys work with their horses when one of the horses went berserk, started bucking all over the place. Knocked over the cameras and the crews and sent us all running. The Danes thought that was a real treat. You can see part of the action on this video…simply click here!
