Cinco De Mayo parade, early May in Elko was fantastic, perhaps the best parade in Elko because of the horses, families, children’s dance costumes, live dancing, and music. I toured Dr. and Mrs. Gabel and two young children May 10, Sunday around Elko proper and Spring Creek and into Thomas Canyon, for Reno Diagnostic Center. Hiked along South Fork river Sunday. Still no sign of fish spawning so we wonder if we missed the event or if it’s still to come.
