Cottonwood is a working horse and cattle ranch located in the remote northeastern corner of Nevada. Six generations of the Smith family have owned & operated the Ranch and now share ownership with Tom and Alecia Maxey. For over 60 years, Cottonwood Ranch has offered a warm, western welcome to many guests.
Cottonwood offers a true western experience with horseback through the wilderness on pack trips and cattle drives. You can ride horses, hunt, fish, mountain bike, watch birds, snowmobile, and hike during your stay or relax in the luxurious guest lodge with a good book.
A stay at the Cottonwood will give you a wide-angle view of the contrast that is Nevada’s remote high desert. Hills carpeted in wildflowers, mahogany, and sage, intersected by canyons cut by rushing streams, filled with flowers, beaver, and deer.
Cowboy John will arrange your stay at the Cottonwood depending on your preferences. Check out Cottonwood’s webpage (and the great picture on their webpage).
