The most exciting new event at this year’s Elko County Fair is the Indian Relay! Teams (male event followed in Elko by a female event) race on horseback around the track three times, changing horses two times, and it’s chaotic! Monday, August 11, 2015, I toured David Hanrahan, from Washington, D.C. to the Ruby Mountains and around Elko, visiting the California Trail Center, and the Western Folklife Center before heading to the Tomera Ranch.
